Even with all the options for hair removal we have today, such as: waxing, threading or other permanent hair removal techniques, the older and most common is shaving.
Men, as well as women, need to shave almost every day, if not every single day. Well-groomed men, with a close shave will always be in style. But do you know what to do to have the best, clean shave, without bumps or razor burns?

Here are some tips:

1. Shave after or during the shower
Warm water and steam from showers can soften your skin, which will help you have a nice shave. Shaving on dry skin can cause razor burn and nicks because your skin isn’t as susceptible to a blade. Plus, if you’re already in the shower, you’ll save a lot of time.

2. Rinse your blade
Not all men do it, because it requires a little more effort, but it’s very important to rinse your blade with each swipe. The shaving will be much easier, cleaner and it will transfer less debris on your face with each stroke.

3. Always shave in the direction of hair growth
In order to avoid shaving bumps, you should always remember to shave in the direction of hair growth, both on the face and neck. In the contrary, you’ll have a cleaner shave but you’ll be causing yourself an unpleasant razor burn. Since the skin on the neck is thinner than the skin on the face, you should be very careful in identifying the hair patterns in order to avoid getting razor burns and bumps.

4. Finish with a moisturizing lotion/gel
The most important thing after shaving is to use an aftershave cologne or a moisturizing gel or lotion, preferable with an SPF.
