Oregano

Oregano is an amazing spice and very beneficial for your health. Only one teaspoon of oregano contains the same amount of antioxidants as in 3 cups of spinach and it also contains 6 micrograms of vitamin K. Did you know that just a little bit of oregano can help you prevent stomach flu? Actually, only a pinch of it on your food can stop the bacteria from multiplying on your food, that can make you sick.

Curry powder

Curry powder is an amazing spice. The main spice of this blend of spices and herbs is turmeric, which is a powerful anti-inflammatory that is fifty times stronger than vitamin C or E.   Actually, some studies show that curcumin, which is a substance contained in turmeric, can prevent the growth of certain breast cancer cells, and can also prevent colon and stomach cancer.

Cinnamon

Some studies have shown that just a half a teaspoon of cinnamon per day may reduce the risk for heart disease and diabetes within six weeks. Also, the antioxidants in cinnamon can help you improve the way your cells metabolize glucose.

Rosemary

We all know that cooking at high temperatures produces compounds which are called heterocyclic amines – harmful free radicals that may cause cancer. Lucky for us, we have always rosemary. A study has shown that if you marinate the meat in a mixture made with rosemary, before cooking it, you will prevent the heterocyclic amines from forming as much as 84%.
